Further informations about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. We are currently hiring for a Linux III Administrator to work at the USPTO in Alexandria, VA. Hours/Shift for this job is Monday through Friday from 10AM to 7PM.
General Description:
Linux Administrator III is needed for Triple-i`s Data Center and Facilities Management Services contract onsite at the US Patent & Trademark Office. Individual would be responsible for managing the maintenance activities of Linux/UNIX servers. Providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and updates of applications on Linux/UNIX servers. Managing Linux/UNIX system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Providing support for day-to-day operations on both production and test environments to include account management, software/OS updates and patching, OS installations and configuration on new servers, server decommissioning activities, responding to Help Desk tickets regarding end user problems associated with the Linux/UNIX systems, assisting developers with isolation and resolution of application issues which are OS or hardware based, etc.
Work Experience/Skills Requirements:
5+ years Red Hat Enterprise Linux Experience Strong knowledge of Redhat Satellite Service Strong knowledge of Redhat Directory Service Strong knowledge of Redhat Cluster Logical Volume Manager (CLVM) Strong knowledge of XEN or KVM Ability to write Shell Scripts. Perl is a Plus Software Experience with Apache, PHP and LDAP
