Currently, this company is seeking to add a Director of Small Business Underwriting. This is a new product platform for the company and this position will oversee the implementation and growth going forward. It is an outstanding opportunity for someone interested in building something of their own and being rewarded for their success.
In this role, you will work with many departments within the company (actuary, claims, marketing, underwriting, etc) to refine the underwriting guidelines, pricing, market initiative and overall implementation of the product. You will also work with existing underwriters to identify key agents to partner with and expand the book of business. This position reports to the Vice President of Underwriting and will have great visibility throughout th! e entire organization.
To be successful, you should h! ave solid experience in the small business market (under $25K premium). You should have a strong sense of marketing and be able to work independently to build a successful department. This position balances technical knowledge / product development with sales, marketing and overall employee management. This is an opportunity to build a department the way YOU want to build it!
