An industry leading manufacturing operation with international operations has an immediate opening for a plant electronic Technician This individual will provide electrical/electronic m! aintenance for our manufacturing equipment, trouble shoot and maintain the advanced electrical and electronic systems of the plant’s equipment. And will assist the Engineering department in electrical project design and implementation as well as assist in day to day operation of the Electrical Department.Some basic responsibilities; Trouble shooting and electrical repair of breakdowns on production equipment Conduct preventative maintenance of the equipment. Follows up and documents all complex/pertinent electrical work performed within their department. Perform assigned project work designated by supervisor Perform daily responsibilities listed by supervisor.
Works with purchasing to reorder parts used Design, install, and follow up on new projects for the plant equipment. The selected individual will also have an understanding of : SSA Maintenance Department Software Basic Electrical/Electronic theory General PLC Logic: Ladder programming & interpretation. Soli! d state electronic and semiconductor theory and trouble shooti! ng. Digital electronic theory and trouble shooting Ability to create, program, configure, download, upload and trouble shoot Allen Bradley PLC’s utilizing RSLogix & RSLinx software.
Experience with other manufacturer’s PLC’s. Capability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Electronic board failures to component level. Knowledge of and experience with DOS and Windows operating systems. The ability to load and configure software and hardware on perennial computers.
Knowledge of and experience with AC & DC Drive Controllers, both analog & digital. Two year vocational school training or equivalent on the job training required
