chmond, VA that is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager. The organization I am working with has seen extreme growth over the past co! uple of years when most organizations have been contracting. In this role, you will be working towards warehouse design, lean processes, and plant transformation.
Core Functions:

Directs all operational strategies for the distribution function within the Houston division
·
Acts as a hands-on manager for approximately
2
0,000 sq. ft. distribution center
·
Supervises a warehouse team of approximately 10 personnel, including , drivers, shipping and receiving clerks, and material handlers
·
Owns accountability for collecting and receiving product, maintaining orderly inventory, pulling product for shipment, shipping via company owned vehicles, and accurately reporting the receipts, shipments and inventory balances
·
Develop measure, track and monitor all operating Key Performance Indicators for each work-cell (shipping/receiving, shelving/picking, QA/QC)!
·
Achieve financial objectives by managing! resources to budget, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
·
Manages any satellite inventory or fleet locations
·
Measures and reports on metrics to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction. Analyzes trends, prepares critical measurements, resolves problems and implements change
·
Oversees the maintenance of the warehouse fleet and equipment, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, adhering to waste management, safety, security and OSHA regulations

Partners with management to support sales and Company goals
·
Ensures staff capability through training and performance management of all staff

Requirements
·
College degree in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain Operat! ions Management/inventory control.
·
Minimum 5 years experience in distribution center or warehouse management.
·
In-depth knowledge of traffic, warehousing, and distribution functions.
·
Extensive knowledge of warehouse or distribution operations including, safety, inventory control, warehouse layout & efficiencies, shipping / receiving processes, expense curtailment, performance evaluation measurements, and a keen sense for customer satisfaction.
·
Knowledge of continual improvement tools include mistake-proofing, Kaizen, root cause analysis and Value Stream mapping
·
Broad knowledge of international shipping and trade compliance.
·
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
·
Must have computer experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access.
·
Abi! lity to drive change and make improvements.
·
Abilit! y to lead and supervise teams and work under tight deadlines.
Compensation $70-85k base
