Tetra Tech ES Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech dedicated
to international development, is recruiting for a Senior
Clean Energy ! Specialist for an anticipated USAID project
based in Arlington, VA. This position is contingent upon
an awarded contract.
The purpose of the project is to: a) to provide vital
support services to the Powering Agriculture: An Energy
Grand Challenge for Development (PAEGC) Partners to
enable their effective management, monitoring, and
evaluation of the program; and b) to facilitate the
dissemination and transfer of PAEGC-related knowledge
and lessons learned to further promote the design and
deployment of clean energy solutions for increasing
agricultural productivity and/or value in developing
countries.

Responsibilities include:

• Overall management and administration of the

project.

• Track the implementation of the work plan.
• Provide quality control of products prepared by the

contractor’s team and subcontractors.

• Liaise with an! d offer clean energy technical

guidance, as require! d, to PAEGC partners and
awardees.

• Deliver technical advice as required by the project.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading and managing

USAID or other donor-funded renewable energy
projects in off-grid areas, preferably focused on
enhancing agricultural productivity, is required.

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in International

Studies, Economics, Engineering or a related field
is mandatory.

• Must have a strong understanding of USAID

operational policies and procedures.

• Highly developed interpersonal skills that will help

establish effective working relationships with PAEGC
partners and awardees are vital.

• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving

skills are necessary.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

are essential.

• Must! have demonstrated experience in rapidly

assembling and managing teams that have the
appropriate skills and experience to effectively
execute identified tasks.

• Desire to work in Arlington, VA, but willing to take

at least one or two trips per year to project site
visits and international meetings.
