Provide Core Network delivery support and implementation for Major Carrier Network Vision program.
Contribute Core Engin! eering support to multi-functional team of R&D, Program Management, Core Networking,
RF Engineering, Transport and Technical/Training Support to fulfill multi-technology wireless network deployment across customer markets.
Background/Experience to qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:
This position will require a very focused, energetic, and proven leader in IP networking and vendor management.
5+ years of hands †on experience in IP networking in a wireless telecom carrier environment.
Necessary Skills/Attributes for this position include:
Applicant should have extensive technical knowledge and experience in Core and IP Networks. Successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in vendor management, and IP network engineering for 3G/4G networks and specifically CDMA and LTE; troubleshooting skills, Root Cause Analysis, break-fix oversight and retrofitting oversight needed! .
Ability to manage:
- Forecasts/sc! hedules
- Multiple tasks across geographically diverse locations, multiple technologies and different vendors
1) Cisco knowledge with background in IOS and IOS-XR Code sets (Preferred)
2) Cisco, Juniper or ALU routing/switching/firewall background highly recommended.
3) Experience and highly knowledgeable in IP Addressing, Firewall Policies, Routing and Switching protocols.
4) Network Design experience with the ability to review and understand the impacts of new customer needs and the implementation into core design’s. This also includes engineering the solutions and working the solutions to completion.
5) Able to adapt quickly to large forward-looking IP network solutions and familiar with all current telecommunications and wireless network deployment strategies.
6) LTE focus on EPC Core, Core Signaling, Backhaul, E-UTRAN, S/PGW, MME, HSS, PCRF, MIMO, UE, S1-U/S1-MME, and X2
7) Technical expertise! in IP Networking, MPLS, OSPF, Layer 3/2 VPN’s, VPLS, BGP, Pseudo wire, metro and carrier Ethernet backhaul solutions
8) Development of Job Aids, Methods of Procedure and Golden Configurations
9) Experienced in working with Technical Assistance Centers and Operational organizations.
10) Understanding of mobile architecture, including CDMA 1xRTT, EVDOrA, EVDOrB, LTE and components of these systems
11) Understanding of Linux / Unix and Element Management Systems
