In this role, you will:

• Manage (plan, organize, direct and control) a unit responsible for proactively adjusting, finalizing and controlling a case assignment and/or (a) specialized assignment(s)
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, appraise and discipline staff
• Ensure timely and accurate liability decisions and benefit provision
• Ensure timely, current, accurate and adequate estimates and case documentation to protect the fiscal integrity of State Fund

Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment. Telework may be available and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs.

Desired Qualifications

As a successful candidate, we are looking for people with the following skills and qualities:

• Proficient knowledge of DWC laws/regulations and procedures relating to workers compensation claims adjusting function
• Proficient knowledge of auxiliary workers compensation claims specialist functions as needed
• Working knowledge of general management and personnel management principles and practices
• Working knowledge of project management principles
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Must have regular and predictable attendance as outlined in the duty statement

SALARY: $6,937 - $8,617 per month depending on experience
