About the Role:
The Underwriting Service Associate handles policy processing transactions including various transaction types spanning the policy lifecycle within Commercial or Specialty lines. This role will work closely with international service and delivery team members to support client processes and workflows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Core Competency:
Knows the Business
- Reviews complex incoming business transactions for multiple lines of business and related information for completeness, accuracy, and quality.
- Gathers third party data and insurance application data to record information in proprietary systems.
- Works with underwriting and other areas to resolve any discrepancies and process insurance policies in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of insurance industry and its products and services.
- SME for assigned transactions and line of business.
- Experience with processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry.
- Strong customer service skills.
Leads Others
- Will engage with international processing teams to support processing questions/deficiencies.
Accountable
- Follow established guidelines to focus on details and complete tasks attentively and thoroughly.
- Use multiple resources to gather and analyze information and use logic to assess basic risk exposures within authority, appropriately refer accounts exceeding authority level.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain accuracy.
- Ability to deliver quality and on time deliverables aligned with client expectations.

- Minimum of 3 years insurance transaction processing experience with minimum of 1 year commercial/specialty lines processing experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & intermediate search skills.
- 2-4 years related work experience as Associate Underwriter or Commercial CSR or 5 years as an Underwriting Assistant/Support Specialist or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum internet speed of 6 mbps download and 3 mbps upload; Wired Ethernet cable connection from home router to computer; No satellite
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
