MVM, Inc. is currently seeking a Full Time Security Specialist for their corporate office in Ashburn, VA.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Graduate / Associates Degree Preferred;
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and follow through successfully.
Ability to work independently and be a team player.
Strong organizational, scheduling, interpersonal, written and oral communications and customer service (internal and external) skills.
Coordinates the security package process with candidates, hiring managers, and customers; ensures packages are current and updates managers and customers on any changes.
Screens and coordinates all requests for personnel security clearances with Operations Supervisor to ensure legitimate government/industry needs are being met, and assists eligible candidates with clearance processing.
Collects, organizes, and tracks security forms and information. Reviews personnel security forms, such as SF-85P, SF-85PS and SF86, for inconsistencies or omissions.
Communicates with potential and pending candidates regarding their clearance status and requests additional information as may be required by the government regarding the candidate’s security package. Reviews credit check reports and communicates with the candidates regarding any additional information that is required.
Handles all security clearance paperwork properly, including safe retention, file maintenance, and appropriate destruction of documents.
Communicates on a continuous basis with Recruitment staff regarding security packages and applicant tracking system updates, issues, and reports.
