College diploma or university degree
Knowledge of GSA and SEWP Program/schedule a plus
Computer industry knowledge an asset.
High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship build
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
Proficiency in MS Office tools â" Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience in the Technology industry preferred
Security Clearance is a plus
Ability to Sell Solutions( Enterprise Computing, Server, Storage, Virtualization, Licensing and Cloud Computing)
Responsibilities
The Federal Government Sales Rep will report directly to the Director/GM of US Federal Government Region
He/she will have responsibility and accountability for about 4-6 Federal Government agencies
Build, implement and drive a comprehensive business plan to meet and exceed Revenue/Margin objectives.
Define and lead a process-driven approach to agency mapping, program and opportunity identification, acquisition planning, contract award and procurement.
Broad knowledge of procurement practices and contract vehicles, particularly GSA and SEWP IV
DRIVEN and TEAM-ORIENTED personal style built upon intellect, integrity, and creativity.
Consultative, âSolution Sellingâ approach to selling with track record of qualifying and closing sales transactions utilizing solution and power base selling methods.
Demonstrated ability to âseed and growâ new customers - successful start-up/early-stage sales experience strongly desired.
Timely and predictable sales forecasting skills.
Exemplary interpersonal and presentation skills.
Willingness and desire to travel in support of sales activities and team success.
Prospect, cold call and develop new business relationships/customer accounts via a Government Vertical
Manage monthly appointment activity and sales calls
Provide consultation to customers regarding the purchase of both software and hardware products
Educate customers on the value and necessity of licensing solutions
Present and market Softchoice's customer centric sales model
Market and leverage our vendor/distribution channel partnerships to ensure best value, pricing and support for customers
Work with internal sales and operational groups to ensure customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently
Keep updated on product and industry knowledge
Attend product training as required
Maintain a stellar relationship with peers and the Outside sales team from your region
