Medical Scribe
Location: Virginia
Description: Riverside Health System is hiring Medical Scribe right now, this position will be placed in Virginia. Further informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. JOB SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Physician and/or Office Manager. Records all medical information from Physician's patient encounters into the Electronic Medical Record to ensure medical documentation supports both quality care and appropriate billing. Responsible for the efficient organization of the documentation process. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent with emphasis on clerical courses preferred. Completion of a course in medical terminology, preferred. Completion of a medical transcription program preferred, but not required.
EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in medical transcription preferred. Specific experience with word processing required. Prior experience in evaluating medical records for E/M coding accuracy preferred.
