Regional IT Support Technician

The Regional IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technology service support to USO operations within the Continental United States.
Responsibilities/Duties
Monito! r, maintain and provide primary support for IT systems located in assigned region including but not limited to hardware, software, applications and telephony.
Manage helpdesk requests and reporting for assigned region. Provide first-level contact and problem resolution, escalating issues as needed.
Assist with IT life-cycle management. Organize and maintain regional IT inventory and assist with creation and management of regional IT budget.
Train, assist and advise USO Center staff in assigned region with optimizing use and capabilities of IT assets.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma. Bachelorâs Degree and/or Microsoft Support Certification preferred.
5 years work experience in an IT support role. Relevant experience in a military, not-for-profit, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
Working knowledge of Windows in a client-server network environment. Apple/Mac experience preferred.
Proficiency with Active Directory user administration, ! remote access communications and support, including standard help desk procedures, VoIP telephony and Unified Communications protocols, wireless network access technologies and hardware, and MS Office applications.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to maintain clear, frequent communication with USO leadership and staff at a variety of levels and geographic locations.
Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage a high volume of assignments with varying complexity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in written and oral communications. Fluency in English.
Ability to obtain and maintain valid access/transportation documents, including proper military identification and/or driverâs license.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to travel up to 40-50% throughout the US.
Must be a strong advocate of the USOâs mission to support active duty military and their families.
