Provide oversight and leadership for Finishing and Corrugated department(s). Ensure the timely! production of quality products that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Proactively manage departmental metrics that impact cost (downtime, make-readies, run speed and waste). Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Foster a team atmosphere, provide vision, and demonstrate support of the company’s core processes. Ultimately responsible for day-to-day management of assigned department(s) through the management of staff, including achieving production goals, managing performance of direct reports, making sound operational decisions, solving problems, and managing conflict.
Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems of the shift.
Oversees the daily operation of folder/ gluers and ensures that production efficiencies and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards. Responsible for solving production p! roblems.
Assures the department maintains quality standard! s and coordinates with the QA Department to ensure adherence to customer quality standards.
Works to maintain a safe work environment and develops and implements safety procedures to aid in achieving departmental safety goals. Bachelor’s degree preferred we are looking for an individual with at least 5 years supervisor experience in a folding carton environment a must
Must possess excellent organizational skills and people skills in order to successfully manage and meet the goals of a sizable department.
