The Managing Consulting within Lewin’s Aging and Disability Practice will improve policy and expanded knowledge of health care and human service systems specific to Ment! al Health and/or Aging and Disability programs. This individua! l will enact, run, and evaluate programs to enhance delivery and financing of health care and family services. The manager will address shifts in health care practice, technology, and regulation. As a managing consultant, this role will create strategies for a variety of Clients, primarily within the Federal sector.Additional responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple priorities and strict timelines.- Completing and delivering work product(s) in agreed-upon timeframe within the contracted budget
- Development of new business- Managing and developing client relationships as evidenced by positive client feedback and client engagement with repeated business.- Completing all administrative requirements on time including time-entry, expense submission, client billing and others as requested.- Managing a large matrix team and aligning responsibilities.- Developing new business through the contribution of substantive expertise and technical advice.Successful c! andidates will have significant research experience in business development, grant writing, proposal writing, program evaluation, qualitative and quantitative research, especially in disability policy and services, aging policy and services, long-term care workforce development and/or mental health, and program development. Managing Consultants within the Aging and Disability practice will also manage projects of different sizes, work directly with clients, represent The Lewin Group at national conferences, and in some cases supervise junior staff.
- Masters degree in Business, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy or other related area of concentration
- 7+ years of experience working on Mental Health policy/Mental Health programs and/or related aging and disability field/programs
- Business Development experience by means of contact outreach and relationship management, grant writing, proposal writing.
- 5+! years in consulting in health care and/or health policy research/analy! sis
- 2+ years experience working with public programs such as Medicare and/or Medicaid.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- 5+ years experience organizing and supervising the work of others strongly desired.
- Experience at the Federal, state or service delivery level strongly desired.
