Senior Systems Architect, IT Infrastructure

The Architect will develop system architecture; assess system requirements and specifications and translate them into functional architecture. The Architect identifies! potential problem areas that could degrade system performance and recommends workable, practical solutions in a calculated manner to minimize program impact. Adjust the architecture as necessary to meet changing program needs. This individual will works as part of a project team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solutions match the original requirements. Will be required to occasionally perform in a systems administration capacity, so recent hands-on experience is also required.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Vendor Management
Work with other business groups to develop or modify systems architecture to support business initiatives
Design, Implement and Administer a wide cross-section of Systems and Platform Architecture, including but not necessarily limited to:
Networking: LAN/WAN, Firewalls, VPN, Load Balancers, WiFi, File Transport
Systems Management and DR:! Virtualization, Monitoring, Backups
Storage: ! SAN/NAS
OS: Windows, Linux/UNIX
Data security and authentication: PKI / PGP
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in building and implementing enterprise-level business solutions and applications
Experience in all phases of systems design and integration including configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale environments
Skill Set:
Specialized training and experience in multiple IT areas
Relevant architecture experience or progressively responsible technology work-related experience to include a minimum of demonstrated IT architecture, design, and development experience
Advanced or expert knowledge and understanding of multiple IT areas (networking, software, data, security, Internet, and operations) or a! rchitecture and core business functions
