Brighton Behavioral Health Center, founded in 1986, is a
multi-campus organization, located within the city of Portsmouth,
Virginia. The site is centrally located, providing excellent
opportunities for community activities and involvement. Brighton
provides focused intermediate and long-term care to children and
adolescents manifesting psychiatric and behavioral health disorders
with a significant impairment of social, interpersonal, educational
or vocational functioning that requires the provision of inter-disciplinary treatment interventions. We are accredit! ed by The
Joint Commission (TJC), and are licensed by the Commonwealth of
Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and
Developmental Services (DBHDS). Brighton Behavioral Health Center
currently has a CLINICIAN position available. The candidate selected
will be responsible for the following:
Be responsible for
the delivering psychotherapy services in individual, group and family
settings to residents and families to resolve emotional, behavioral,
or interpersonal problems.
Directs and provides case management
services.
Develops measurable goals and objectives for
residents based on established program philosophy and resident needs.
Maintains high quality documentation of all therapy services
consistent with facility policies.
Assesses residents' needs
regularly and assists in the updating of the Individualized Service
Plan.
Requirements
The following a! re the job requirements for the
CLINICIAN position:
Prefer Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Masters
Degree and License eligible.
Prefer two or more years
experience in a mental health setting working with children and/or
adolescents.
Prefer CSOTP or experience treating sex
offenders.
Must possess knowledge of major aspects of a
residential treatment, program development, aftercare, The Joint
Commission standards, State standards and regulations and related
issues.
A strong customer and patient focus.
