Description
Key Role:
Work on EO/IR imagery systems image and video collection problems, inc! luding characterization and exploitation. Write codes in MATLAB supporting EO/IR imagery and video and monitor events directly supporting EO/IR sensor requirements. Perform technical duties, including writing scientific codes, such as clutter and noise mitigation, image reconstruction, compressive sensing, tracking, detection, feature extraction and classification, stereo, machine learning, signal processing, and radiometric calculations, such as flux, counts, and BRDF. Design collection experiments, including space and airborne and compare measured results with modeled data.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a remote sensing image or computer vision scientist with MATLAB expertise
- 3+ years of experience with imagery science
- 3+ years of experience with sensor systems, including airborne, space-borne, or commercial systems, operations, and phenomenology and their impact on image processing, ! analysis, and exploitation
- Experience with COTS or GO! TS image processing and computer vision software, including MATLAB and OpenCV and image processing algorithm development, such as MATLAB
- Knowledge of focal plane array technology, including quantum efficiency, cross-talk, and flux density and remote sensing technology and collection parameters
- Ability to work independently and with a small team of scientists, engineers, operations and recommend new tasks, follow-up on these tasks, and develop new ideas and run with them, as agreed by the government officials
- Ability to work in a fast R&D environment, including adapting to constants change in tasking from technical government officials and senior executive and delivering technical products with operational impact
- Ability to customize image processing software with coded scripts in languages, including MATLAB
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
- BA or BS degree in Remote Sensing, Image Science, or Physics
- Experience with modeling software, including Modtran and database, such as HiTran
- Experience with applying wavelets techniques, including Gabor filters to image and video products
- Experience with autofocus techniques
- Experience with automatic target recognition, including EO/IR and thermal
- Experience with data processing, including MATLAB imagery and video and analysis
- Experience with data characterization in terms of ground truth, including MATLAB
- Experience with field testing
- Knowledge of an AGI area, including ONIR and OPIR, spectral, LIDAR, or thermal
- Ability to show fluency in all imagery science areas a plus
- Ability to present results in front of technical and not technical government officials
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- MA or MS degree in Remote Sensing, Image Science, or Physics preferred! ; PhD degree in Remote Sensing, Image Science, or Physics a plus Clearance:
