Serves as principal contact with the Associationâ s membership, directs Association services, programs, and member benefits, and works to expand the membership base._________________________________________________________________________________________________RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Director (AD) is responsible for delivering services to members of the Association, with the primary goal being to retain and expand the membership base. The AD is responsible for maintaining accurate membership records, processing membership applications and renewals, and coordinating pr! ograms to serve the Association membership.SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1.!
Design and administer membership recruitment and retention strategies. Work with colleagues, committee members, and council to coordinate member recruitment initiatives. Build membership incentives and conduct targeted membership campaigns.2. Serve as primary point of contact with Association membership.
Keep abreast of member needs and help plan programs and services with those needs in mind. Maintain committee and volunteer data on members.3. With the Executive Director, develop and implement fundraising initiatives, including but not limited to: the yearly Amazing Raise initiative, the Circuit Walk, and the Scholarship Reception.4. Regularly travel to member and non-member museum sites to service members and engage potential members.5.
Work with colleagues to plan, publicize, and implement the Annual Conference. This includes selecting and preparing speakers, handling conference registration, and coordinating committees and volunteers.6. Work ! with workshop committee to develop and administer annual series of workshops to meet the needs of members and certificate students.7. Oversee and maintain membership database.
Enter and update member data. Process membership applications and renewals, and assuring members have updated membership materials and member cards.8. Develop, plan and implement special programs and member events. 9.
