Description
Key Role:
Serve as a member of a functional team and support the project's business process evaluation ! of risks, internal controls, corrective action implementation, and related internal control testing efforts. Gain a working knowledge of financial business processes, internal controls, and financial management systems in support of the client's efforts to produce auditable financial statements and sustain audit readiness. Analyze ERP processes, feeder systems, and other applicable units within a client's organization to identify key areas of audit weakness and make recommendations for improvement in the internal control environment. Work directly with senior leaders and executives to prepare briefings and reports on findings and present to panels of client staff. Use Microsoft Office and Visio to prepare deliverables. Apply experience with DoD financial operations and systems, research and report requirements for clean audit opinions, and perform gap analysis between current processes and changes required to pass an audit. Perform team lead functions of assigning, reviewin! g, and managing the work of others on the team and subcontract! ors.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with audit concepts, audit evaluation, process analysis, audit opinion preparation, audit research, process testing, DoD finance, or government consulting
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access
- Experience with ERP core financials module
- Ability to take information from a wide variety of sources and ensure products are succinct and client-ready
- Ability to travel for up to 50% of the time
- Secret clearance required
- BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
- Experience with DoD budgeting systems and processes
- Ability to show flexibility, initiative, and innovation in dealing with ambiguous, fast-paced situations
- Ability to lead small teams and manage client relationships
- Possessi! on of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- CPA, CDFM, or CGFM Certification preferred
