GEN! ERAL:
Coaches are expected to be outstanding teachers who provide leadership as role models for students.
SPECIFIC:
All applicants must be eligible for Virginia certification; experience as a college player and successful coaching experiences are preferred. All newly hired coaches must obtain certification through the National Federation of Interscholastic Coaches Education Program or the American Sport Education Program within one year of signing a contract to coach for Chesapeake Public Schools.
