We are actively hiring technical professionals to join our tight-knit team in our Herndon, VA location.
This is a fast paced position in one of our most critical areas. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has strong SQL development skills and deployment of large-scale Data Warehouse solutions.
This position requires strong technical capabilities plus an instinctive, problem-solving mentality and experience conceptualizing and creating out-of-the-box solutions.
Responsibilities:
Provide ETL development expertise in relational database management concepts and data warehousing best practices;
Design, development and deployment of Health Care Data Warehousing and ETL process design and automation initiatives on SQL Server 2008 platform;
Assist in data analysis and data modeling;
Perform code inspections and re-factor cod! e to best practice standards; and
Communicate effectively ! within both the product delivery and the internal development teams.
Qualifications:
Must have 8+ years of experience including 5+ years experience developing enterprise-level data warehouses/data marts;
Must have solid SQL development skills;
Must have a strong understanding of database design and development and recent relevant work experience;
Must be a methodical and pragmatic problem-solver;
Should have a BS degree in computer sciences, software design, engineering, information systems, related field or comparable experience;
Experience using TFS and Erwin is a plus;
Knowledge of agile development methodologies is a plus; and
Experience with health care clinical and claims data and the associated regulatory environment a plus.
