Description: Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently interviewing Financial Analyst with growing publicly traded company right now, this position will be placed in Virginia. Our client, a large home building company in Reston, VA is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its growing! team. The company has a fabulous environment and tremendous growth opportunity. The Financial Analyst will be participating in a 3 year rotation which starts internal audit department (audit experience is NOT required) and then be transitioned into Corporate Financial Planning & Anally.
The Financial Analyst will be rotating among the various finance departments. The rotations are designed to accomplish the objectives of orienting, developing and exposing the Analyst to the entire company which does require traveling to various US locations (25-30% travel is required). Ideally the Financial Analyst will contribute to strategic growth, and be eligible for promotion to areas of greater responsibility within the finance group.
The Financial Analyst is expected to gain a general understanding of the company culture and industries it operates in:
Meet with various heads of finance group departments during the first several weeks of employment to begin deve! loping an overall understanding of the Company culture and str! ucture.
Develop a working knowledge of the company's computer systems. Each rotation will expand on this knowledge. Participate in finance group rotations. Rotations will be assigned based on the training needs of the Analyst and the project/deadline requirements of the finance group:
Perform assignments designated by the functional manager. The Analyst should perform the assignments in a professional manner with the goal being to contribute to the overall success of the assigned department.
Provide periodic feedback to the VP of Planning and VP of Internal Audit. Feedback should consist of recommendations for improving rotation and additional or alternative assignments in the rotational departments.
Participate in a formal evaluation of the rotation with the functional manager assigned to.

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree, and Minimum of 4 years experience in AUDIT or CORPORATE FINANCE
- CPA or MBA required
- Candidates with Big 4 or Corporate finance experience in publicly traded companies preferred.
