The USO is the private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to âlift the spirits of Americaâs troops and their
familiesâ
by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. The
original intent of Congress â" and enduring style of USO delivery â" is to represent the American people by
extending a touch of home to the military. The USO currently operates more than 160 centers worldwide,
including mobile canteens located in the continental United States and overseas. Overseas centers are located

n Germany, Ital! y, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Korea, Afghanistan, Guam a! nd Kuwait. Service
members and
their families visit USO centers more than 8 million times each year. The USO is the way the American public
supports the troops.
Responsibilities/Duties
The United Service Organizations (USO) is proud to offer career development opportunities designed to provide undergraduates and recent graduates with a valuable, hands-on experience in non-profit.
An internship opportunity may be available in the Human Resources, Fundraising and Development, Information Technology, Marketing and Communications, Finance, Operations or Programs and Entertainment departments.
Sessions Include:
Mentorship and Coaching
âReal Worldâ experiences
Ability to network with students from other local colleges and universities
Participation in a USO volunteer opportunity

Details
General Information:
This position is located in Arli! ngton, Virginia. Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to the location. Relocation Assistance is not provided for this position
Individuals are expected to work between 20-40 hours per week, depending on availability and department needs.
We highly prefer a 12-16 week commitment but based on individual availability, we can be somewhat flexible.
Career Development opportunities are
un-paid
but we do offer a generous commuter benefit.
