The Federated Giving Manager will build a robust government employee workplace giving revenue program. The potential of the pro! gram is significant, creating the opportunity for the Manager to contribute a substantial funding stream to USO fundraising strategies.

Responsibilities/Duties

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE THE FEDERATED GIVING MANAGER?

You need to be a successful fundraiser, and be excited about CFC and government employee giving campaigns. That means you will seek out best practices and how to maximize the results from each program.

You need to be an inspiring presenter, able to cultivate donors.

You need to

own

the programs and be impassioned to achieve the desired results.

You need to be resourceful, ensuring there are no lost opportunities.

Like any USO manager, you need to demonstrate integrity and trust; respect and appreciation of colleagues; a drive for results; focus on the USO customer experience; outstanding decision-making capabilities; ability to build an effective team; and managerial
courage.

KEY PRIORITIES INCLUDE:
Manage the USO’s CFC! program, developing strategies to increase CFC results. Complete the submission of all required applications and reports, meeting all required deadlines.

Assist USO Center Managers to maximize their local opportunities, be it United Way campaigns, local CFC campaigns, etc.

Develop the strategies to increase the USO’s participation in state employee giving campaigns and United Way campaigns, and implement the strategies.

Prepare annual budgets for all programs under this umbrella. Forecast and analyze on-going results, continuously improving programs based on results.

Work collaboratively with donor services, including the daily processing of cash receipts.

SOME KEY PROJECTS INCLUDE:
Be part of the team that develops a USO “Ambassador Program” to enable speaking and outreach opportunities for CFC.

With Marketing, create toolkits and materials for CFC programs.

Work with USO management in the fie! ld to engage with and support local CFC programs, state programs, and United Way campaigns.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a development or fundraising role, preferably in a mid-level position responsible for employee giving campaigns including CFC and United Way.

Strong interpersonal and persuasive written and oral communication skills.

Ability to accomplish results in a time sensitive, deadline driven environment.

Strong numbers acumen â€" confident in reporting, tracking and analysis of financial results.

Ability to manage a high volume of assignments with varying complexity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with integrity and professionalism.

Knowledge of various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. Must have hands on work experience in a CRM, such as Raiser’s! Edge or Blackbaud product.

Demonstrated initiative and self-m! otivation, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.

Must be able to travel occasionally as needed.

Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission to lift the spirits of US troops and their families.
