The Operations Specialist of Brokerage Operations will be responsible for providing operational support to the firm’s various trading units consisting of Cash Equities, Convertib! les, Credit and Options trading. The Candidate will provide trade lifecycle support including trade capture and allocation, trade and position reconciliation, settlement issue resolution, and opening and documentation of new accounts.
Resolve trade settlement issues with internal and external sources • Liaison between Trading Desks, clients and support areas to provide superior customer service
Reconcile trade and position discrepancies across multiple trading applications and the firm’s clearing firm
Process commissions, commission adjustments and manual entries in the firm’s commission application. Reconcile adjustments and entries in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
Process new account requests and ensure proper documentation
Respond to customer and internal enquires accurately and timely
Assist with the clearance of restricted and physical securities
Motivated individual with strong attention t! o detail
Strong time management and organization skil! ls. Must be able to set proper priorities and handle multiple tasks
Must be able to handle stressful situations, be a complete team player and have a strong presence and work ethic
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate discretion in handling confidential data
Knowledge of spreadsheets and proficiency in MS Office
Bachelors degree in Finance or related field
