The Corporate Alliances Coordinator will coordinate the flow of information within and outside of the department while providing administrative, logistical, and overall support to the Director of Corporate Alliances, the Retail & Military Sales Account Manager,
and the In-kind Account Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties

What does it take to be the Corporate Alliances Coordinator?

You will be the liaison between the Corporate Alliances Department and Communications to ensure! all sponsorship information is up-to-date and accurate on the! USO website.

You will provide support in coordination with the Director of Corporate Alliances, all fundraising related functions of the Annual Gala including, pledge and receipt tracking, Gala benefits/ deliverables, and Stewardship Reports.

You will be responsible for registering, planning for, and representing the USO at mission related tradeshows and conferences.

Like any USO employee, you need to demonstrate integrity and trust; respect and appreciation of colleagues; a drive for results; and focus on the USO customer experience.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

1-3 years work experience, preferably in a development support role. Relevant experience in a military, not-for-profit, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively on a high-performing team.

Demonstrated proficiency in written an! d oral communications. Ability to customize communications and outreach to major donor audiences.

Knowledge of various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook. Prior experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.

Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.

Willingness and ability to work non-standard hours and/or overtime as needed.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission to support active duty military and their families.

This position is located in Arlington, VA. Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to the location.
