Argo Group US currently has a challenging opportunity for a Project Manager (Software Beta to Production) with expertise in launch and roll out of software B2B applications located in our San Antonio TX, Richmond VA, Scottsdale AZ or Denver CO office.
As a Project Manager , you will collaborate with our business and technology teams to ensure well-managed communication and support for the rollout of our new software platform to external insurance industry business partners. The focus of this position is to create thorough rollout, communication and support plans for soft! ware releases (from Beta to Production) and manage those proje! ct efforts to ensure successful software delivery across a user group with differing levels of comfort with technology.
Responsibilities
Develop rollout plans to successfully deliver software to our geographically dispersed business partner community
Oversee the implementation of these plans, coordinating the resources responsible for all aspects of the rollout â€" such as technical setup and training â€" to ensure steps happen in the right sequence and meet or exceed the quality expectations of our user community
Manage communication and support for software releases, ensuring that they are delivered in a streamlined manner, that feature documentation is complete and customer-oriented, and that communication and training materials are easily understood by and useful to a broad audience
Create and oversee a process for collecting and prioritizing feedback from system users, including external business partners, leading to the def! inition and documentation of requirements for new features and tools
Work with the Information Technology team to outline and design the ongoing support and enhancement model for this software platform
Create and maintain project-related information (risks, issues, resources, schedules, tasks, and budgets), and recommend mitigation approaches as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; experience in the insurance industry preferred
Proven project management and resource management skills with an ability to manage concurrent projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
4+ years of experience implementing successful web-based software development projects (e-commerce a plus), with an emphasis on managing customer expectations, feedback mechanisms, communications and training related to software releases
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including excellent reasoning ability and demonst! rated ability to assess and solve issues quickly
Excellent and! highly professional communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to develop, tailor and deliver presentations and other forms of communication to a broad range of individuals, including executives and external business partners
Superior teamwork skills, both as a leader and a team member, with a demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a team setting
Experience working effectively across multiple offices and locations with an ability to build consensus and support among a geographically distributed team
Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to identify and prioritize key customer issues to be addressed by projects and solutions
High degree of personal ownership of and accountability for all work products.
Independent decision-making skills and strong negotiation abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Pro! ject required. Strong technical skills, a plus
Able to travel up to 30 percent
