Job Description
The Federal Territory Account Manager's responsibility will be to drive the overall sales revenue for select US Army programs through a process of account penetration, opportunity identification, solution development, revenue creation, and account maintenance/expansion/growth. Target programs will be oriented towards, but not limited to, data center, cloud, and application processing environments, as well as geographic business in Southwest Asia (SWA).This individual should possess strong strategic account selling skills and must be able to plan and execute against medium-to-long term sales cycles. Candidate should have a strong history of consistent sales success in developing and maintaining large territories, success being defined by Q/Q as well as Y/Y meeting and exceeding their sales plans. A strong background and acumen in developing new sales opportunities, as well as maintaining longer term account/territory management, is required.
Qualifications:
Experience and Responsibilities
Ideal candidate lives in the Washington-Baltimore metro area. Must be a U.S. citizen. Security clearance a plus.
Must be willing to travel approximately 35% of the time; some international travel may be required.
Experience with data center and cloud projects and technologies, including L2/L3 switching and routing, application delivery switching, storage, DR/COOP, data center consolidation, storage area networking, virtualization, and compute
Past experience and success selling technology into the Department of Defense, and ideally the US Army.
Build and/or develop comprehensive sales initiatives for complex US Army programs.
Create and maintain Target Account Selling (TAS) plans .
Must be able to operate independently and effectively manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through close.
Build and maintain valuable relationships with senior management and technology leadership within target accounts.
Communicate winning Brocade solutions and products in the context of the customer and competitive environment.
Become the "Point Person" within assigned accounts and/or territory to drive revenue across Brocade product segments with Brocade resources available (i.e., SEs, TSRs, TSEs and Engagement Managers).
Ensure timely and accurate forecasting using Salesforce.com and through communication with management chain.
Provide ongoing intelligence and analysis regarding the actions of competition.
Identify opportunities for new business, expansion into untapped markets and communicate resource needs to address these opportunities.
Work with channel, systems integrator, and OEM partners to insure optimal delivery to end customer.
Other tasks will include territory plan reviews, weekly forecasting reviews, and quarterly sales reviews with the sales management team.
Meet and exceed quota requirements on a quarterly basis.
Education and Experience
5 - 10 years of industry experience with 5+ years outside selling experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience or military background. Must have excellent people skills/influencing ability and be effective in sustaining business relationships. High personal and professional integrity.
