The ideal candidate will have experience ! in leading a team of business analysts in managing the business function on a daily basis, including leading day-to-day business processes, processing production operations work, problem resolution activities, customer support and implementation of application changes. The role works with customers, cross functional teams, and other key stakeholders to resolve application-related user problems. They assign tasks and perform assignments that may be broad in nature by making decisions pertaining to business unit requirements, as well as assisting with production operation processing. The candidate will also lead and support information security and business continuity activities. They will also be responsible for coach, developing, mentoring and managing staff.

This role will require the selected candidate work the 10am-7pm shift one or two nights per week.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsible for directing all aspects of managing staff including hiring, counseling, terminating, career development, performance planning and evaluation, pay recommendations with minimal guidance.
Effectively communicates and interacts across the organization to make a positive impact.
Executes daily operational processes.
Actively seeks and implements process improvement opportunities. Collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders. Ensures the daily applications operations tasks and activities are performed in accordance with service level or operational agreements/expectations. Analyzes and exercises leadership to resolve system problems and issues. Interprets department policies related to areas supervised and explains procedures for Bank management and staff. Interacts with representatives of financial institutions, government agencies, outside firms, and/or the public to investigate complex transactions or system problems.
Ensures operational efficiency and effectiveness in accordance with service level or operational agreements and expectations. Responsible for continuous monitoring and management of operating mechanisms.
Understands and applies project management and strategic thinking.
Effectively manages, coaches and develops team members, enabling high performance teamwork.
Acts as a change agent for the applications supported by Treasury and Payments Services. This includes ! developing and implementing new methods and procedures to make daily op! erations more efficient. Plans and schedules activities in operational area and coordinates with other teams and stakeholders, such as the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, National IT, or other operations as required; resolves more complex working problems, analyzes and recommends solutions to problems.
Participates in planning process and preparation of departmental budget, monitors operational reports related to system performance, evaluates long-term and short-term staffing needs and recommends strategic changes for long-term planning.
Essential Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s or higher degree in business or technical field (preferred)
4-5 years of management, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility, or equivalent proven job experience (required)
3 years of experience leading operational support (strongly preferred)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (required)
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ! ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas, verbally and in writing, including the ability to interact well with management and to develop and maintain customer contacts (required)
Excellent planning, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills (required)
Excellent strategy development and analysis skills (required)
Solid knowledge project management principles (strongly preferred)
Ability to build and maintain confidence and trust (required)
Ability to work independently to achieve project results and report status to senior management, including ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities and meet project schedules/deadlines (required)
Demonstrated work experience on process improvement initiatives (preferred )
High level of PC literacy to include e-mail, spreadsheets, database and word processing programs (required)
May be subject to extended work hours, including on-call support and travel as needed (required! )
