Description: George Washington University is at present recruited Clinical Placement & Lab Liaison right now, this occupation will be placed in Virginia. The Clinical Placement & Lab Liaison is responsible for the identification and coordination of clinical sites for undergraduate nursing students and the recom! mendation of clinical sites for joint affiliation agreements. The position also performs duties in the simulation laboratory facilities including, but not limited to, assisting instructors with class preparation, maintaining attendance records, upkeep of laboratory and lab equipment, disposal of waste, and management of lab inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing ( BSN )
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a registered nurse

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with faculty, staff, and student populations
  • Proficient organizational, prioritization, and teaching skills
  • Strong computer literacy skills with Microsoft Office

Job Duties

Function:
Collaborates with Clinical Placement Coordinator and the! Director of the Undergraduate Programs to select appropriate ! clinical sites to meet the objectives for each clinical course; Assists clinical course faculty and the Director of the Undergraduate Programs with troubleshooting operational issues at clinical sites

Function:
Maintains course placement flow sheet for each cohort of BSN students, verifies that clinical evaluations are completed and is responsible for the maintenance of clinical placement records for accreditation purposes

Function:
Manages the scheduling and confirmation of clinical instructor orientation and works with faculty liaison(s) regarding student clinical placement requirements

Function:
Collaborates with the BSN Lab Director to reinforce class syllabus, goals, objectives and daily lesson plans; Assists instructors and prepares instructional materials per lesson plan before each class; Assist in the evaluation of students using appropriate evaluation tools and materials, and reports to the instructor
Function:
Supports the BSN Lab Director in the coordination, upkeep and management of the simulation laboratory by assuring supplies are secured, equipment is functional and inspected as necessary; Purchases lab equipment and monitors budgetary operations within the undergraduate program as it related to lab expenses
