Site Reliability Technical Analyst

The Site Reliability Technical Analyst (SRT) is the technical backbone of a Palantir deployment, allowing analyst and engineering resources to do what they do best: solve world-changi! ng problems. We cover the technical aspects of site reliability, doing whatever's necessary to ensure things run smoothly and changes are implemented with efficiency and precision. SRTs are the customer's first point of contact for technical questions and concerns; we work hard to provide answers and solutions, and only escalate when absolutely necessary. We're the first-responders when problems arise, and proactively implement solutions to avoid recurrence. We strive for perfection in insulating our deployments against technical pitfalls, and have a boots-on-the-ground, ego-free approach to everything we do.
Responsibilities
Increase Palantir deployment stability by constantly anticipating and exceeding customer requirements
Monitor the health and uptime of the Palantir stack
Be the first responder for customer problems, concerns or updates
Apply Linux admin skills to administer and configure large clusters
Participation in ! 24/7 on-call rotation
Requirements
Expert with Li! nux system admin (CentOS or RHEL)
Familiarity with wide range of shell scripting/web technologies such as PHP or Rails
Basic knowledge of such database systems as Oracle, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL
Experience administering and managing collocated servers, including hardware troubleshooting
Excellent customer service: relationship development skills and instant professionalism
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel
Enthusiasm for working one on one with customers in an onsite setting
Unbending commitment to operational security and ethics
Hard working, professional, and most importantly, genuine
Preferred
Experience with systems management tools like Puppet, CFEngine, Chef, SpaceWalk or Satellite
Experience with monitoring systems such as Nagios or Zenoss
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time or being open to relocation
Securi! ty clearance or the ability to obtain one
