DONATION ATTENDANT (Sterling)
Location: Sterling Virginia
Description: Goodwill of Greater Washington is currently interviewing DONATION ATTENDANT (Sterling) right now, this job will be placed in Virginia. For detail informations about this job opportunity please read the description below. Greets donors, receives donations, and provides donors with receipts. Prepares donations for the production processing area.
Please be aware that as a member of ! Goodwill of Greater Washington’s Retail Staff, and a condition of employment, you will be required to work a flexible schedule. In support of store opening, production and closing operations, this schedule will include work on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides excellent customer service to donors.
2. Greets donors and safely unloads donations from vehicle. Donations may vary in weight with some weighing up to 40-50 pounds.
3. Completes a donor receipt and offers donor a copy.
4. Sorts donated items into designated categories.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists truck driver and helper in loading donations into company vehicles.
2. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to effectively communicate wi! th customers and GGW associates.
Basic math skills. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8 hour shift).
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, kneeling and climbing.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Work experience may be substituted for education.
Demonstrate knowledge of sealable items for store.
Six months experience in similar work environment or equivalent training.
Ability to provide world-class customer service to all of our customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
