The primary focus will be on group insurance with some time spent on managing and analyzing initiatives across our other Trusts - 401(k)/Defined Benefit, as necessary

Purpose and Mission

In collaboration with strategic business partners, the Project Manager combines technology innovation with business process excellence to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and affordability of NRECA's employee benefits administration business. This includes establishing, planning and managing deliverables, priorities and timeframes for project objectives as well as providing strategic consultation to Insurance and Financial Services (I&FS) executives on technology as it relates to business needs.

1. Manages technology projects from the business side including the delivery of business requirements, collaboration with developers and system testers, and leading and coordi! nating user acceptance testing, cutover to production and faci! litating retrospective sessions.

2. Leads and participates in activities related to business requirements elicitation and definition. Collaborates with the systems analysts, business users and application team leads to identify and discuss opportunities for improved functionality of applications and for overall operating efficiency.

3. Oversees and participates in activities related to user acceptance testing (UAT) and cutover to production including parallel testing, regression testing, training, communication, and documentation.

4. Acts as the business advisor to provide consultative guidance to I&FS in support of strategic decisions, including business process re-engineering and optimization.

Requirements and Qualifications

• BS/BA in Business Administration, Management Science, Computer Science or related field. MasterÂ's preferred.

For qualified candidates, equivalent professional work experience (minimum 10 years)! will be considered.

• PMP designation or commitment to earning; CEBS designation preferred but not required.

• 10+ years of relevant project management/business analysis experience is required (preferably in an employee benefits administration, insurance or related environment).

• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and deliver large scale process improvement projects on time, within budget and meeting expectations. Able to effectively lead multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with C-level and front-line staff.

• Solid negotiating and strategic thinking skills, combined with self-motivation and a high level of energy and enthusiasm.

• Experience working within a standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Agile preferred.
