Help Desk Technician I

Location: Bluefield Virginia

Description: First Community Bank is looking of Help Desk Technician I right now, this occupation will be placed in Virginia. The Help Desk is the single-point-of-contact for requests from all FCB employees regarding Information Technology issues. The primary goal of the Help Desk is to ensure staff are able to accom! plish business tasks. Help Desk staff respond to inquiries and requests for assistance from employees involving Information Technology and facility related issues including software, hardware and network. Help Desk staff are responsible for Total Ownership of all requests received by the Help Desk. Responsibilities include documenting, prioritizing, resolving issues and ensuring issues are resolved to the total satisfaction of the requester. Duties: 1. Provide prompt, courteous and professional support to FCB staff

2. Answer phone calls and respond to emails from FCB staff in user-friendly language

3. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve IT related issues

4. Log all Help Desk calls and emails in ticketing software.

5. Meet First Call Resolution requirements

6. Prioritize issues for resolution escalate when appropriate

7. Maintain communication with requester during the problem resolution process

8. Act as liaison ! between requester and other IT staff to ensure complete proble! m resolution

9. Create, review and maintain Help Desk documentation

10. Assist IT staff with software installs, updates and rollouts as needed

Qualifications: Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. AssociateÂ's Degree in a computer related field of study or one year's experience providing customer support

2. Excellent customer service skills

3. Excellent computer skills

4. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve PC related problems

5. Demonstrated knowledge of standard off-the-shelf software

6. Understanding of standard LAN and WAN infrastructure and processes

7. Demonstrate analytical and problem solving abilities

8. Ability to work on computer for extended periods of time

9. Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
1. Certifications, training or experience in PC ! and or software troubleshooting

2. Certifications, training or experience in providing Service Desk support

3. Experience supporting Financial industry processes and applications

4. Good understanding of the organizationÂ's goals and objectives
