The Junior Software Tester position is an entry-level opening with training provided, installing and configuring Oracle and Oracle-based applications for Theater Medical ! Information Program-Joint (TMIP-J). As a member of the Independent Test Group, the applicant will test the TMIP-J integrated suite of software applications used by Deployment and Readiness Systems, part of the Department of Defense Military Health System.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Tests the installation of Software.
Performs error-detection and reporting to Senior Testers.
Provides documentation of testing results utilizing various testing tools and methods.
Reviews software development documentation to create step-by-step procedures to test software applications.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma.
Computer proficiency (Windows 7 and Window Server 2008).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Some testing experience preferred but not required.
Ability to proactively uncover softwar! e issues during the test process that impact the functionality! of installed software.
Self-motivated individual capable of working within a team environment.
U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and/or maintain a required U.S. Government security clearance / access.
