Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to, software installation automation. Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing installs and the automation of the install of commercial-off-the-shelf software and the in-house software. Maintains various systems and security. Leads a team of DevOps (development and operations) staff. Provides strategic oversight for deployment automation and utilization of various systems and tools. Researches and deals with any of the problems associated with the software deployment
Essential Functions
- Mentors, trains, and su! pervises other team members.
- Design, program, and implement application/software release automation, using tools such as Nolio ARA.
- Designs and implements software deployment automation projects. Develops, defines, and delivers project timelines and milestones in a timely manner.
- Perform manual installation of software and work with developer on troubleshooting and documentation.
- Work withother department/unit develops and maintains disaster recovery plans for key critical systems and servers.
- Installs, configures, maintains, repairs specialized systems/applications and provides system support in a networked environment.
- Interacts with other departments/units on a troubleshooting and knowledge sharing basis.
- Researches, specifies, and recommends specific software deployment automation for the department. Participates and executes rollouts/deployments, migrations and upgrades as part of the IT team.
- Revi! ews, escalates, resolves, and closes various tickets.
- May be required to work flexible hours, carry a duty pager, rotate through ON-CALL shift, and respond system outages in a timely manner.
- May automate system administration tasks such as server inventory control, file system maintenance, and server service control using script technologies.
- Maintains inventory of software licenses and manages annual renewal of maintenance contracts.
- Performs ongoing performance tuningand resource optimization as required.
- May provide Proposal Support, Documentation, and Mentoring and Training of less experienced team members.
- Troubleshoots issues. May perform desktop duties in smaller departments/units.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Expertise with command line scripting ! (VBScript, Powershell, Batch Files, JavaScript, Shell, or PERL)
- Advanced programming knowledge (XML, XPath, RegEx, SOAP, REST, JMX, SSH, etc)
- Working knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows 2003, 2008) and Operating Systems Administration (Powershell, VBScripting, WMI, Registry Manipulation, AD, LDAP, NTFS, etc)
- Working knowledge of Database Platforms (MSSQL 2005, 2008, 2012) and Database Scripts (sql)
- Working knowledge of Server Applications (IIS, Sharepoint, Biztalk, JBOSS)
- Knowledge of MS Project and possess strong project management skills
- Ability to install and configure various operating systems, databases, and applications to include principally MS Windows, MS SQL, and supporting utilities
- Ability to perform internal training and knowledge transfer sessions with peers
- Ability to author technical documents, case studies, and whitepapers
- Ability to work independently and provide leadership! to other members of the team
- Excellent technical skills including problem solving abilities
- Extremely detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, and Routers, and Checkpoint firewalls
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks Understanding of network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, SSL, LDAP, and Kerberos
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to abide by Molina's policies
- Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers
Bachelor's Degree in Computer, Business Field or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
5+ years! professional service /DevOps role. 2 years programming in Powershell, ! XML, or Java/J2EE troubleshooting history
Required Licensure/Certification:
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Computer or Business Field
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of vidual programming, IIS, SharePoint, and SQL Server.
Preferred Licensure/Certification:
PMP; ITIL Foundation Certification; Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft, VMware, and/or Unix Hardware/Software Vendor,
i.e. Cisco, Checkpoint, Nortel, etc.
Important to have: VPL, Powershell, XML, CA Lisa, NOLIO, JAVA.
