Responsibilities
As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will perform the following duties:
- Serve as an IT Specialist as part of a 24x7 rotating shift focused on Cyber forensics.
- Develop, implement and coordinate activities designed to ensure, protect and restore Army systems, services and capabilities.
- Produce and coordinate in-depth Cyber Forensics and malware analysis studies and analytical assessments.
- Provide computer forensics support to the Current Operations team through the use of industry standard hardware and software.
- Develop cyber threat briefings in varying formats and for various audiences to include multiple classification levels.
50% or less - 50% Business Travel is required.

TOP SECRET
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on SSBI with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Tentatively selected applicants will be required to sign DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program) requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- Incumbent must be willing to take and successfully pass a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI/Poly).
- This position requires successful completion of the appropriate training and certifications to obtain the required Information Assurance Technician level (IAT-II) within 6 months of placement as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
- Temporary duty travel may be required approximately up to 50% TDY (temporary business travel).
- This position may be on call and required to work weekends/holidays as part of a 24x7 rotating shift requirement.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: coordinating and synchronizing global net-centric solutions, and providing secure, interoperable, and reliable operation of networks; Coordinating in-depth Cyber Forensics and malware analysis studies and analytical assessments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
AND individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below
