Description
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Senior Information Assurance / Security Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, DC at the Department of Justice (DOJ)

Roles and Responsibilities:
Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is the component official assigned by the Authorizing Official or other senior management official! for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is ! maintained for an IT system or program. Roles and responsibilities include:
Serves as the principal advisor to the Authorizing Official and Information System Owner on all matters (technical and otherwise) involving the security of the IT system.
Assists in the identification, implementation, and assessment of the common IT security controls.
Assists in developing and updating the SSP, and coordinating with the Information System Owner, any changes to the IT system and assessing the security impact of those changes.
Ensures systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with IT security policies outlined in the approved security authorization package.
Reports and tracks all IT security-related incidents pertaining to system.
Monitors system recovery processes and ensures the proper restoration of IT system security features.
Performs control assessments, at a minimum, on an annual basis to ensur! e compliance with Department policy and standards.
Serves as member of or attends Configuration Control Board (CCB) to ensure configuration management for IT security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented.
Ensures IT system security requirements are addressed during all phases of an IT systems lifecycle.
Establishes audit trails, ensures their review, and makes them available (as required).
Retains audit logs in accordance with Department and Component policies.
Ensures awareness and precautionary measures are exercised to prevent introduction and/or proliferation of malicious code.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
A Bachelor's Degree and 14+ years experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
14+ y! ears IT Security experience with extensive knowledge in system developm! ent life cycle, networks and infrastructures.
Seasoned security analyst having developed numerous security C&A and ATO on GSS/MAs.
Strong working knowledge of NIST Special Publications and the security assessment and authorization process/methodology; POA&M management; and continuous monitoring.
Strong writing and speaking skills, especially relating to technical discussions, policy and current cyber security issue.
Active Top Secret Clearance.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Current DOJ PIV Card/ Access Badge/JCON account preferred.
CISA, CCNA, MCSE certification.
Experience with Department of Justice and use of the Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM) tool.
Prefer Security Tool experience (e.g. FoundStone, Nessus, Ap! pDetective, BigFix, ArcSight, and SharePoint).
