Help Desk Specialist

Location: Alexandria Virginia

Description: USmax Corporation is currently seeking to employ Help Desk Specialist right now, this occupation will be placed in Virginia. USmax Corporation has an opening for a Help Desk Specialist to provide primary advanced level support to Enterprise Remote Access customers working from home and on campus. Candidate will! provide users with support and troubleshooting at a Tier 3 level and record all incident information in detailed format via Remedy. Experience with VPN, VMware and Safeboot encryption software is required.

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical customers; and the ability to work well under pressure within a team environment.

Specific Responsibilities

Analyze and process PC-related user requests

Provide service center/helpdesk operations, Installing, testing and implementing software packages to userÂ's workstations or laptops

Create; update, monitor, assign and also delete tickets with the use of Remedy Service Desk ticketing system.

Follow priority matrix for Enterprise Service Desk (ESD). Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel

Set up Outlook/Exchange accounts. Adding, deleting, restoring, modifying, moving, ! assigning and restore distribution list

Unlock and re! set passwords, disable accounts. Add/remove users on the network, granting permissions in Active Directory

Apply remote service to users by way of mapping, managing, remote and VPN support

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience

2-4 years of experience supporting users

Experience with VPN, VMware and Safeboot encryption software is required.

AVAILABILITY

Candidate must be willing to work an 8-10 hour shift schedule 365/24/7

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
